Kismet Cellars 2002 Montepulciano (Montepulciano d'Abruzzo)
Price
$10
Sweet cherry, red licorice and some sugar beet comprise the nose on this grapey, full-acid red. Pie cherry, raspberry and nutmeg flavors carry the palate, followed by a dark finish with some toasty notes. Maybe a bit sharp but largely balanced and ripe.

Kismet Cellars 2002 Sangiovese (Veneto)
Price
$10
Not bad for a Veneto Sangiovese. Cherry cola and leather aromas add something to the simple, clean bouquet. A palate of cherry and rhubarb precedes the fresh, lively finish. Dry, tense and solid, with good tannins and balance.

Kismet Cellars 2004 Pinot Grigio (Veneto)
Price
$9
Moderate lemon and melon aromas to start, backed by apple, pineapple and a shock of lemon Pledge. Fresh enough, with an o.k. feel. Nothing special; good enough on its best day.
