La Baume 2003 Chardonnay (Vin de Pays d'Oc)
Best Buy
Price
$8
Nectarines and melons are the dominant flavors in this rich, powerful, full-bodied Chardonnay. There aren't many punches pulled in this flavorful wine. A touch of wood completes the impact. The bottle has a screw cap.

La Baume 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon (Vin de Pays d'Oc)
Best Buy
Price
$8
This has great varietal character, packed with dry tannins, ripe forward blackcurrant flavors, a touch of acidity and a delicious fresh aftertaste. Australian technology meets the south of France.

La Baume 1999 Chardonnay (Vin de Pays d'Oc)
Price
$7
Light, sunny, golden raisin and talcum powder aromas open onto preface a palate rife with oak and citrus flavors, and a minerally mouthfeel. Finishes with almond and chalk. Would have been better without the slight but persistent twinge of greenness that begins in the mouth and lasts through the finish.

La Baume 1999 Merlot (Vin de Pays d'Oc)
Price
$7
Earthy aromas, plus a twinge of fruity sweetness and a slight plastic note. A little thin in both texture and flavor, this Merlot offers more oak and green herb than fruit on the palate, and more of the same on the back end.

La Baume 1998 Syrah (Vin de Pays d'Oc)
Price
$7
On the earthy side, with aromas of damp wood and toast that far outweigh the modest blackberry fruit. It’s medium weight, with a tart finish.
