La Fleur de Boüard 2005 Red (Lalande de Pomerol)

With its high proportion of Merlot, this is a slinky, rich wine, smooth and ripe. Yes, there are tannins, but the jammy fruit softens the dark corners. It should age, but is not for the long-term.  — R.V.  (6/1/2008)

La Fleur de Boüard 2004 Barrel Sample Red (Lalande de Pomerol)

89–91 Made by Hubert de Boüard of Château l’Angélus in Saint-Emilion, this is a spicy, modern, toasty wine, showing how good Lalande de Pomerol can be if treated correctly.  — R.V.  (6/1/2005)
