Wild black, blue and red berries, sweet cocoa, root beer and all kinds of dusty Asian spices spread over the palate, leading to a dry, satisfying aftertaste. Buy this one by the case.

Leaping Lizard is turning out good value wines that show true varietal character. This Sauvignon Blanc, which doesn’t seem to have any oak, shows crisp, bright flavors of pineapples, apricots and spices. It’s a bit on the sweet side, but with good balancing acidity.
