Legón 2006 Tempranillo (Ribera del Duero)
Price
$13
A little rubbery and wild on the nose, but the palate is sturdy if a bit tangy. Flavors of red fruits, while not that sweet, are cleansing and fresh, and for a leaner-bodied, more racy young wine, this fits the bill. And it definitely seems food-friendly.

Legón 2008 Roble Tempranillo (Ribera del Duero)
Online Exclusive
Price
$14
Warm and smelling of menthol, cough syrup and sweet, jammy berry fruit. The palate is also fairly medicinal in terms of flavor, while the feel is a bit hard and underdeveloped. Turns more tart and herbal the more you get to know it.

Legón 2004 Roble Tempranillo (Ribera del Duero)
Online Exclusive
More oak than anything, with aromas of cinnamon, clove and char. The palate runs fairly sour, which confirms that wood cannot cure all ills. And the finish shows little love although there is ample spearmint and leftover resin.
