This medium-bodied, supple wine is based on Cinsault, which makes it unique in the region. It’s leathery, but also offers up fine touches of raspberry, chocolate and garrigue, with a tinge of anise to its velvety-textured finish. Drink now.  — J.C.  (8/1/2011)

Les Vignerons D'Estezargues 2004 Terre de Mistral Red (Côtes du Rhône)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $11
A bit floral and herbal on the nose, but there are also peach and berry fruit flavors that end up carrying the day. Finishes a little short, picking up hints of Earl Grey tea amid a dusting of light tannins. From the co-op at Estézargues.  — J.C.  (11/15/2006)

Les Vignerons D'Estezargues 2008 Domaine des Genestas Signargues Red (Côtes du Rhône Villages)

  1. $15
On the earthy, leathery side of things, this wine comes across as a bit tough and rustic but not completely without charm; brown sugar and dried fruit notes give it a subtle sweetness on the palate. Drink up.  — J.C.  (10/1/2011)
