Livingston Moffett 2004 20th Anniversary Vintage Cabernet Sauvignon (Rutherford)

$95
They pulled out their best for their birthday, and the result is a spectacular wine. Livingston Moffett 1999 Mitchell Vineyard Syrah (Napa Valley)
-
$35
There’s plenty of sour herb on the even, dark fruit; soy, bouillon and leathery notes add real complexity. Medium-weight, with handsome fruit-acid balance, it’s slightly tart, a bit herbaceous, but also possesses fine structure and real potential to develop. Closes with tangy tannins, charcoal and pepper accents. Best held for three years.
