Londer 2002 Kent Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast)

  1. $35
Fascinating wine, with a cool edge of minerally acidity that teases the palate with intense green apple and ripe peach flavors, and a lavish overlay of what tastes like new French oak. It all comes together in this fine, plush Chardonnay.  — S.H.  (6/1/2004)

Londer 2003 Kent Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast)

  1. $36
High acidity combines with extreme spiciness to make this wine exceedingly prickly on the palate. Thankfully it’s filled with yummy flavors of pineapple custard, butterscotch, caramel and toast, and has a rich, creamy texture. Fabulous with lobster.  — S.H.  (8/1/2005)

Londer 2004 Paraboll Pinot Noir (Anderson Valley)

  1. $52
This is the winery’s reserve blend, and the first thing you notice is the oak that leaps out on the first scent. The wine handles it easily, though, with enormously ripe, deep cherry pie, pomegranate, rhubarb, cola and spice flavors. It’s a bit soft and obvious, but very tasty.  — S.H.  (11/1/2006)

Londer 2001 Van Der Kamp Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sonoma Mountain)

  1. $35
A well-made Pinot from a rather obscure appellation, this wine is very dry and earthy, with flavors of sage and black cherries. The dryness follows through the finish, which is quite acidic, suggesting rich fare.  — S.H.  (6/1/2004)

Londer 2006 Corby Vineyard Chardonnay (Anderson Valley)

  1. $27
High in acidity, and with a tangy, minerally flourish, this Chard has ripe flavors of pineapples and papayas, enriched with smoky-sweet, vanilla-accented oak. It’s a fashionable wine that will go well with rich fare, such as scallops in a cream sauce.  — S.H.  (10/1/2008)

Londer 2002 Paraboll Pinot Noir (Anderson Valley)

  1. $45
Like Londer’s regular Pinot, this two-vineyard blend is light in body and silky. It’s also lusher, with a dense core of cherry, cola, rhubarb tea and spice flavors. It’s a little flabby, but makes up for it in delicacy.  — S.H.  (2/1/2005)

Londer 2007 Dry Gewürztraminer (Anderson Valley)

  1. $26
Shows the crisp, dry Alsatian interpretation that Anderson Valley gives to Gewürz. The wine bursts with Asian spices that titillate the palate, alongside Mandarin orange, Asian pear, lychee, honeysuckle and vanilla flavors that are delicious. Drink now for its youthful vivacity.  — S.H.  (10/1/2008)

Londer 2006 Dry Gewürztraminer (Anderson Valley)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $24
With only .01 residual sugar, this Gewurz really is dry, as the label says. With grapes sourced mainly from the well-known Ferrington Vineyard, it’s very spice, with zesty lemon, pineapple, lychee and green apple flavors.  — S.H.  (8/1/2008)
