Luce della Vite 2007 Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello di Montalcino)
Cellar Selection
Price
$93
Luce della Vite opens with an opulent, generous style and is packed with black cherry, black currant, cola, leather and pipe tobacco. This is a plush, rich and deeply textured wine, with plenty of intensity and staying power. It shows dense tannins with a touch of youthful astringency. Age 10 more years.

Luce della Vite 2006 Luce Red (Toscana)

Price
$90
We are extremely impressed with this vintage of Luce (made by Frescobaldi and Mondavi in Montalcino, Tuscany). The blend of Merlot and Sangiovese is amazingly modern, pleasurable and penetrating with a huge focus on black cherry and chocolate fudge aromas. The tannins are tight and focused and the wine could use another five years of cellaring.

Luce della Vite 2005 Luce Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello di Montalcino)
Cellar Selection

$94
After long anticipation, we are happy to see this gorgeous Brunello on the market. The wine is sure to gain enormous success: the packaging is the essence of Italian style and the wine itself shows the highest level of quality. Rich and opulent aromas of cherry, blackberry, spice and leather abound and the wine shows enormous length on the finish.

Luce della Vite 2003 Luce Red (Toscana)
Cellar Selection
Price
$75
This vintage of Frescobaldi’s superstar Luce della Vite makes a bold statement thanks to its ruby concentration and intensely inviting aromas of cherry, cola, leather, vanilla and blackberry. It is a big, modern wine (50-50 Sangiovese and Merlot) that flaunts many deep layers of intensity and flavor with firm tannins and excellent persistency on the finish.
