Cola, licorice and blackberry all dance together on the bouquet, which is big and magnetic. The palate is dark and deep, with lush, potent berry fruit, chocolate and spice flavors. Rugged, full-bodied and strong more than elegant and refined.

Slightly herbal and leafy on the first pass, but airing shows a good mix of olive, creamy blackberry fruit and buttery oak. The flavor profile brings candied cherry/berry fruit and an herbal touch, and the finish is juicy and feels right. Standard but more than respectable at this price point.

Lime aromas and modest minerality are proper given its origin, but it turns softer and sweeter the more time it airs out. The palate is fairly round, with lemon-lime and pineapple flavors. Citric if a bit pithy on the finish. Fine but average.

Sweet, candied rosé with a cute name and a clear bottle? Aren’t we beyond that by now? Apparently not, so this berry cooler of a wine gets an acceptable rating along with notes that it’s chunky, likable and awfully sweet.

Jammy, simple, flat Merlot with herbal strawberry aromas. The palate is bland tasting yet still a bit acidic, with jumbled red fruit flavors and a weakly structured mouthfeel. Rudimentary wine.

Starts out well enough, with citrus and banana aromas. But in the mouth it fails to impress. The palate feel is dilute and the flavors are mealy and bland. Lacks any semblance of concentration or Chardonnay character.

Hard and high in acid, resulting in a sharp, unfriendly, sour wine with limited cherry and plum flavors. Offers almost nothing to praise; not very good Malbec.
