Madrone Mountain 2008 Starthistle Cuvée White (Oregon)
Price
$24
An unusual blend of Riesling, Huxelrebe, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc, this has residual sugar of almost 3%, but marries the sweetness to a Vouvray-like tartness. Your tongue dances back and forth from honey to tea, from sweet to dry. Excellent length and a wash of fresh cut orange as it fades.
