Manookian 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon (Howell Mountain)

Earns points for sheer size, a powerhouse of concentrated, intense blackberry and cassis flavors, liberally coated with oak. The tannins are big, thick and hard, and at this point, the wine is not showing much drinkability. Ageability might be compromised by some superripe, raisiny fruit notes. Tasted twice.
