Marco Cecchini 2005 Picolit (Colli Orientali del Friuli)

  1. $30
This Picolit is light in color and lean in form but it does do a very good job of presenting elegant aromas and nuances. You’ll recognize sweet honey, almond, orange zest and subdued herbal tones. It’s young and fresh in spirit.  — M.L.  (12/15/2008)

Marco Cecchini 2006 Bellagioia Pinot Grigio (Venezia Giulia)

  1. $17
There’s an attractive freshness to this Pinot Grigio that incorporates elements of citrus, grapefruit, peach, honey and acacia flowers. The mouthfeel is bright and fruity and is relaxingly smooth in texture.  — M.L.  (7/1/2008)

Marco Cecchini 2009 Tovè White (Colli Orientali del Friuli)

  1. $13
This Italian blend of Friulano (90%) and Verduzzo opens with an off-gold color and thick aromas of ripe fruit, apricot, pineapple and candied fruit. Most of the wine’s character seems to come from the hearty Verduzzo variety.  — M.L.  (3/1/2012)

Marco Cecchini 2006 Tovè White (Colli Orientali del Friuli)

  1. $17
Aromas of honey, chestnut and mature fruit are followed by drying mineral flavors and crisp freshness. The wine is made from a blend of Tocai and Verduzzo Friulano, which is an often over-looked white wine variety from Northern Italy with good structure and density.  — M.L.  (7/1/2008)

Marco Cecchini 2006 Riesling (Venezia Giulia)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $25
Made in a late harvest, sweet style, this has good dimension and intensity with layers of stone fruit, honey and spring flowers. The wine is bursting with exotic fruit and is sweet and chewy in feel.  — M.L.  (7/1/2008)

Marco Cecchini 1999 Careme Red (Colli Orientali del Friuli)

  1. $23
Fairly smooth and subtle, with pure black-cherry aromas along with a hint of leather. In the mouth, things turn a bit sharp as sour cherry and rhubarb take over. But if you dig a bit deeper, it has the structure and depth of fruit to stand up to dry cheeses or other foods.  — M.S.  (12/15/2003)

Marco Cecchini 2010 D'Orsaria Pinot Grigio (Venezia Giulia)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $10
D’Orsaria is a thick Pinot Grigio that could use a touch more acidity in the mouth. Freshness aside, it does deliver thick aromas of peach and pineapple.  — M.L.  (3/1/2012)
