Surely one of the better bargains this year, and with 60,000 cases produced, it can’t be that hard to find. This Cab-Tempranillo is full and balanced in the mouth, with red fruit and a healthy dose of oak. Red plum and cherry fruit isn’t overblown or jammy, by any means. On the contrary, there’s an element of plum-skin tautness that keeps the wine a little austere, in terms of flavor.
