McFadden Vineyard 2010 Riesling (Potter Valley)
Online Exclusive
Price
$18
Lemony, with the tiniest touch of sweetness, McFadden’s Riesling is nicely balanced between acidity and fruit, with a slightly nutty flavor.

McFadden Vineyard NV Brut Sparkling (Potter Valley)
Online Exclusive
Price
$25
Though nonvintage, 100% of the half Chardonnay and half Pinot Noir grapes in this sparkling blend hail from 2009, a nice vintage for Mendocino. With a yeasty nose this Brut is all green apple tartness with high notes of acidity, and very dry. As it opens it gets more fragrant, pleasantly tasting of honeysuckle, nectarine and sweet fig.

McFadden Vineyard 2009 Gewürztraminer (Potter Valley)
Price
$16
Pungently perfumed, all lemon, mandarin orange and spice, this Gewürztraminer is moderately textured and aromatically pretty, an interesting companion to spicy food but also the myriad of flavors found around a holiday meal.

McFadden Vineyard 2009 Sauvignon Blanc (Potter Valley)
Price
$16
McFadden’s SB is a fine, easy drinker, light in weight and feel, like a lemon custard in summer. Have it with fish or chicken and be happy.

McFadden Vineyard 2010 Pinot Gris (Potter Valley)
Online Exclusive
Price
$16
Nicely done in an Alsatian style, this Pinot Gris has subtle aromatics that blossom in due time into lemon, pear and tart apple, the whole richly layered and ideal for pairing with rich wintertime foods.

McFadden Vineyard 2007 Pinot Noir (Potter Valley)
Online Exclusive
Price
$19
McFadden’s ’07 Pinot may not be aging gracefully in this case. It’s got an earthy edge to it still but not much fruit, the organically grown grapes a touch acidic and bitter.

McFadden Vineyard 2009 Old Vine Zinfandel (Mendocino)

Price
$24
A very minty old vine Zin from organically farmed grapes that tastes of not-quite-ripe strawberry jam and is otherwise smooth and peppery.
