Mederaño 2003 Linea d'Oro Cabernet Sauvignon-Tempranillo (Catalunya)
Best Buy
Price
$10
Spicy and herbal, but with ample fruit backing that up it comes across as a nice everyday red wine. The palate is a bit earthy and rustic, with a touch of green. But for the most part it’s a healthy, mildly tannic red that will wash down just about any food put in its path. The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. Imported by Victoire Imports.

Mederaño 2000 Tinto Red (Tierra de Castilla)
Online Exclusive
Price
$7
This tinto is good, but doesn't leave much of a lasting impression. Offers vague black fruit, oak and earth aromas and flavors, from beginning to end. Suitable for casual circumstances.

Mederaño 2004 Linea d'Oro Chardonnay & Xarel-Lo White (Catalunya)
Price
$10
Mildly sulfuric, with vitamin, bitter greens and funk on the nose. Melon and banana flavors are of the soft, dilute type. Seems burnt and herbal. Not fresh enough.

Mederaño 2001 White (Tierra de Castilla)

Price
$7
Light mineral aroma; tastes like mineral water with an undercurrent of citrus. It's spritzy in the mouth—the vinous cousin to lemon Perrier.
