Chunky and oily on the nose, with basic white fruit aromas of peach and apple. The palate is full and balanced, with nectarine, pineapple and lychee flavors. Pithy and citrusy on the finish. Ripe and good in a regular way.

Menduco 2009 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Uco Valley)

Berry and plum aromas are normal and don’t stir too much interest. The palate is grabby and a bit tannic, with slightly medicinal and rubbery cassis and raspberry flavors. Pepper and mocha notes show up on the finish.
