Moillard 2009 Les Saint-Georges Premier Cru Pinot Noir (Nuits-St.-Georges)

  1. $120
A firm, darkly structured wine. It has a hard edge of smoky wood tannins that dominate the black fruits, so it needs 2–3 years to balance out. It’s always likely to be a firm, dense wine.  — R.V.  (5/1/2012)

Moillard 2005 Chardonnay (Chassagne-Montrachet)

  1. $39
Deliciously fresh and creamy, this wine rolls around the mouth with its smooth, ripe texture. There are flavors of almonds, some toast from wood, and just enough acidity. The aftertaste is soft.  — R.V.  (3/1/2007)

Moillard 2004 Pinot Noir (Chorey-lès-Beaune)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $20
An attractive, fresh, red fruity wine, very much in the easy style of Chorey-lès-Beaune. There’s some firmness from tannins, but this wine will develop easily and quickly.  — R.V.  (3/1/2007)

Moillard 2005 Clos du Cromin Chardonnay (Meursault)

  1. $36
From a 23-acre vineyard on the north side of the appellation, close to Volnay, this Chard is soft, ripe and easy, with fresh touches of minerality on the light almonds and green pear flavors. A delicious wine for spring and summer drinking.  — R.V.  (3/1/2007)

Moillard 2002 Reserve Pinot Noir (Bourgogne)

  1. $28
Pricy for generic Bourgogne, but pretty good for the appellation, with earthy scents of cola vying with black cherries and coffee. Tannins are supple and the fruit ultimately carries the day. Turns a bit tangy on the finish.  — J.C.  (11/15/2005)
