Ultra-rich and decadent, Morgan’s 08 Double L shows its signature tropical fruit, apricot and mineral flavors, accented with the smoky vanilla, buttered toast and caramel from toasted oak, and brightened with acidity. Morgan 2007 Double L Syrah (Santa Lucia Highlands)

This is a fancy Syrah, the result of a small crop in this cool vintage. The flavors are concentrated in blackberries, black currants and purple plums, with cured meat and black pepper complexities.
