Nigl 2009 Senftenberger Pellingen Privat Riesling (Kremstal)
Cellar Selection
Price
$56
Powerful, rich Riesling, its natural acidity rounded out with ripe white fruit flavors, a touch of vanilla and spice as well as pure crisp steeliness. A wine for aging over 6–7 years. Screwcap.

Nigl 2006 Trockenbeerenauslese Riesling (Kremstal)
Cellar Selection
Online Exclusive
Liquorous and sweet with honey, peaches and a rounded character. The contrast between the crisp acidity, intense aromatics and beautiful, smooth and opulent texture keeps the wine in exquisite tension.

Nigl 2008 Trockenbeerenauslese Grüner Veltliner (Niederösterreich)
Price
$43
A wonderful viscous texture underlies a wine that is beautifully balanced between sweetness and crispness. The honeyed flavors go with ripe yellow nectarines and the wine glides around the mouth. Delicious now, but it will surely age. Screwcap.

Nigl 2009 Alte Reben Grüner Veltliner (Kremstal)
Price
$32
An aroma that is as much light citrus as richer fruit sets the scene for this tight, mineral-driven wine. It has ripe, concentrated fruit, with definite acidity. Give it three years for the taut structure to broaden out. Screwcap.

Nigl 2007 Eiswein Grüner Veltliner (Kremstal)
Online Exclusive
Not so much sweet as intensely rich, peppery and zesty with orange peel and spiced pear juice flavors. It is concentrated, intense, likely to last for many years.

Nigl 2003 Privat Riesling (Kremstal)
Price
$71
Rich and concentrated, this wine comes from Martin Nigl’s selection from old vines, which he bottles as his premium wines. It has denseness and concentration, but is still open and generous. There are flavors of green plums, lychees, other tropical fruit and herbs. A great open-hearted wine, it should age well over 5–10 years. Imported by Michael Skurnik Wines.

Nigl 2002 Privat Grüner Veltliner (Kremstal)
Price
$50
From his tiny valley above Krems, Martin Nigl seems to produce effortless wines with all the right intensity of flavor and richness. This Privat (which, for him, is the equivalent of a reserve wine), is intense, concentrated and packed with spice, pepper and yellow apples. Imported by Michael Skurnik Wines.

Nigl 2009 Hochäcker Riesling (Kremstal)
Price
$52
Riesling at 14% alcohol is almost too much, although Martin Nigl just gets away with it, the fresh element giving balance to the super ripeness. This is a sipping wine, too intensely perfumed for food. Screwcap.
