Parallel 2006 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)
- Cellar Selection
- Online Exclusive
-
$125
A 100% Cabernet aged in 100% new French oak, grown in the warmer Conn Valley region east of the Silverado Trail. The wood contributes layers of toast and caramel, while the underlying wine is massive, with tiers of blackberries, black cherries, black currants, red currants, cedar and spices. Very dramatic and beautiful, but needs time. 2012–2020, at least.

Parallel 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)
-
$55
Made in the Parallel style of soft, rich tannins and ultraripe fruit, this Cabernet is instantly flashy for its wealth of blackberries, black currants, dark chocolate and oak. Defines the modern Napa style, although it’s too soft to age, so drink up.
