Pretty nice for young Syrah grown on the hot plains of Spain. The nose provides more than adequate plum, blackberry and bacon, and the palate is definitely lively, with black cherry and raspberry flavors. A ripe wine with chocolate and balance. Imported by HAB North America.

Uncomplicated and dominated by red fruit aromas and flavors. This is your everyday type of red wine that could probably be made from just about any grape or blend of grapes. Here, Tempranillo and 15% Shiraz make for a dry, mildly oaky red with freshness and little else. Fine if you’re not looking for anything special.

If a little left-over sugar doesn't bother you than this wine will register in a positive way. For beginners, the bouquet dances with rose hip, red licorice and cherry notes, and next the palate has real flavor and layering. Yes, it's kind of sweet and manufactured. But it's also got zest and pleasant pomegranate and pink grapefruit flavors.
