This is a lovely bottle, floral, leesy, textural and blessed with a thrilling raciness. Despite the 1.2% residual sugar, it is a crisp and elegant dry wine that captures the perfume of Gewürztraminer without descending into soapiness. The length is amazing.

Mostly Celilo vineyard fruit, this bone dry reserve Gewürztraminer mixes floral and citrus blossom scents with flavors of lemon rind, green apple and minty wintergreen. Fermented in neutral French oak, it’s fresh and spicy, and deserves the reserve designation.

Made with 100 percent certified organic grapes. Candied orange flavors, scented with bright blossoms, make this an orange blossom special of a wine. It’s full, ripe, and round, with excellent depth and length.

For an inexpensive Oregon Pinot Noir, this has a lovely, expansive aroma that mingles rose petals, strawberry, white chocolate and cola. This is elegant, supple and entirely approachable, with none of the hard, earthy, vegetal or bitter character that can often characterize inexpensive Pinots. Think of a really good village Burgundy from a ripe vintage such as 2005…

Phelps Creek’s most affordable Pinot Noir is a delight; soft and fruity, scented with crushed strawberries and violets, highlighted with juniper spice, and beautifully balanced from start to finish.
