Pierpaolo Pecorari 2004 Olivers Pinot Grigio (Venezia Giulia)
Price
$20
A copperish colored wine with opulent yellow fruit notes and a subtle toastiness render a unique nose and give the wine a distinct personality. Good consistency and finish. Imported by Villa Italia.

Pierpaolo Pecorari 2004 Pinot Grigio (Venezia Giulia)
Best Buy
Price
$10
A nutty, but not intense wine, with peach, pear and mineral notes on what is a simple but clean nose. The mouthfeel is lean, with well-integrated acidity over a medium finish. Imported by Villa Italia.

Pierpaolo Pecorari 2000 Isonzio Sauvignon Blanc (Friuli Venezia Giulia)
Price
$15
Any baseball fan will peg the nose as being that of ballpark franks with yellow mustard. That strange meaty, pickled, spicy character carries onto the palate, where there’s also some mineral character. The finish is clipped and short, which is probably a benefit after all the funky aromatics and flavors that come before.
