You’ll love the rich concentration and density of this wine. The nose is finely focused on aromas of black fruit, moist tobacco and black pepper. In the mouth, this Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot blend delivers firm, drying tannins and a long burst of black fruit on the finish. Drink after 2012.

Cabernet and Merlot are combined in 70-30 proportions. The aromas are elegant and tightly packed: Cherry, blackberry, molasses, maple syrup and tobacco leaf make up the core. The mouthfeel is dense and richly textured thanks to the wine’s excellent structure.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Asinone is a beautiful expression of Prugnolo Gentile that boasts bright accents of spice, mature fruit, black mineral and light barbecue smoke. It is elegant, tight and would make an excellent pairing partner to meat, pasta or risotto.

This is a sophisticated and very modern approach to Vino Nobile di Montepulciano with an evident oak intervention that adds layers of spice and smoke to a rich palate of forest berry and blackberry. The wine is smooth and dense in the mouth and offers very impressive staying power. Give it another five years of cellar aging.

This is a gorgeous wine with enormous intensity of fruit that comes forward as cherry, blackberry, spice, leather and cigar box. The texture is soft, smooth and velvety: In Violas has the heft and persistency to stand up to rosemary-marinated T-bone steak.

Huge and powerful, yet tannic and oaky. The purest example of what a barrique-aged Sangiovese (with 10% Merlot and Colorino) is all about. The bouquet exudes espresso, bitter chocolate and lemon peel, while the dark-fruit palate is beyond reproach in terms of ripeness. A great marriage of new age and old; hold until 2008. Imported by William Grant & Sons.

This is a bold, meaty wine with thick aromas of smoke, cured meat, mesquite wood, ripe blueberry and sweet cherry. It makes a grand impression on both the nose and the tongue because of its exceptional density, its supple texture and its impressive length.

In Violas is an oak-driven expression of Merlot from Cortona in Tuscany with dark concentration, ripe berry aromas and loads of spice, toasted nut, tobacco and leather. The wine still shows some bitterness on the tannins that will soften with more time in the bottle. It ends with almond-like flavors.
