Quo 2008 Old Vines Grenache (Campo de Borja)

  1. $15
Deep and earthy smelling, with meatiness, black fruit and hickory notes to the bouquet. The wine offers concentration and thickness, with ripe, slightly medicinal flavors of plum and blackberry. The same goes for the finish, and overall this is a medium-to-full Grenache that gets it done.  — M.S.  (10/1/2010)

Quo 2007 Old Vines Grenache (Campo de Borja)

  1. $17
Starts with hard aromas akin to nail polish and rubber gloves. More typical and fruity in the mouth, but it remains kind of lean despite being expansive in the mouth. Tastes like raspberry, with some candy. Gets better as it airs out.  — M.S.  (6/1/2010)

Quo 2008 Grenache (Campo de Borja)

  1. $10
A little heat on the nose is acceptable given that the remaining cherry and plum aromas are pure. A bit acidic on the palate but staunchly fresh, with good fruit flavor in the red plum category. Cleansing due to higher acidity, with hints of mocha and mineral.  — M.S.  (2/1/2010)

Quo 2008 Macabeo-Chardonnay White (Campo de Borja)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $10
Banana and green herb aromas make for a challenging nose. The palate has verve and acidity but its flavors of dull white fruits, melon and peach are jumbled. A clumsy mishmash of a wine; 80% Macabeo (Viura) and 20% Chardonnay.  — M.S.  (6/1/2010)
