After some sulfur blows off, dark cherry aromas with leather accents come forward. This wine has a bright, slightly expansive feel in the mouth, and plum and toast notes around the cherry core. There’s decent length to the dry, mildly pepper-and-licorice-tinged finish.  — W.E.  (4/1/2001)
