Rodney Strong 2001 Symmetry Red Wine Meritage (Alexander Valley)

A bit sharp in acids, but the wine nonetheless has attractive Cabernet flavor, ripe tannins, and finishes with a dried herb taste. Seems like it was picked early. Try decanting for an hour or so before serving.  — S.H.  (12/15/2006)
