Dense and licorice-like at first. The wine then opens up to reveal a complex array of black cherry, black plum, blackberry, spice, chocolate, coffee, camphor, and sweet oak. A beautiful example of an effusive but nonetheless controlled style. Long and lush at the end.

Here’s what made Zin famous to begin with. It’s a big, dark, rich wine that’s bursting with ripe, juicy berry and spice flavors, and is very dry. Has an instant appeal, with its fine, sweet tannins.

An inky black, thick wine that feels like Port in the mouth, with alcohol and heat carrying dark berry flavors. Acidity is pretty high, which adds to sense of heat and bitterness.
