Warm and a bit oaky, with aromas of vanilla and baked bread along with more standard apple and pear. Falls on the leesy side of the fence, with creamy, toasty flavors of butter, baked pear and cream. From Santa Julia. Imported by Vias Imports.

The bouquet offers a dose of toast to go with a standard baked-apple flavor, and the mouthfeel is plump and easy. Flavors of baked apple and pear are friendly and round, while the medium-length finish delivers touches of vanilla and caramel. Good for Maule Chardonnay.

Perfectly nice, with black cherry, leather and some snap. Ripe and generally clean on the palate, with cola, black fruit and easygoing tannins. Stays the course; quintessential basic Chilean Cabernet. Imported by Vias Imports.

Hard rubber, wood smoke and tobacco along with dark fruit is what you draw from the bouquet. Fairly standardfare raspberry and strawberry flavors work the palate, which is generally healthy and well balanced. Shows a touch of green toward the finish, but not enough to significantly hurt it.

Solid enough, with lightweight fruit, tobacco and mushroom scents. Adequately balanced, with black cherry and plum flavors. Pepper and a touch of espresso carry the finish. A bit medicinal, with a balsamic character.

Starts out with aromas of wet leaves but the balancing element is solid red fruit. The palate pours on the cherries, bolstered by heavy tannins, while the finish deals raspberry tinges atop vanilla. Disjointed, but with positive touches.

Sort of sweet on the bouquet, with hints of lemon-lime and candy. Natural tasting, and veering toward tropical. Moderate girth in terms of body, with a finish accented by toast and vanilla. Imported by Vias Imports.

The aromas on this wine run jammy, soft and baked. This is medium in intensity, with some dilution and herbal flavors of tobacco, berry and spice. The finish is modest and a bit green.
