Saracco 2006 Pinot Nero (Monferrato)
Online Exclusive
Price
$31
Made in a more oxidative (Piedmont-like) style than is typical for most Pinot Noirs, with high-toned notes of burnt cherries and citronella. The palate is chewy and weighty and leads to a serious, intense finish laced with notes of gardenia. Drinking well now.

This is a delicately fragrant Moscato d’Asti with feminine aromas of jasmine, honey and white peach. There’s a citrusy, lemongrass-like note that adds a fresh, almost spicy note to this creamy, sweet and delicious wine.

Saracco 2006 Moscato d'Autunno (Moscato d'Asti)
This lightly sparkling Moscato delivers delicate aromas of bee’s wax and flowers and a vibrant, sweet taste in the mouth. It has foamy, creamy bubbles that make it perfect with fruit salad or pound cake.

Saracco 2007 Moscato (Moscato d'Asti)
Online Exclusive
Price
$18
Those expecting a typical Asti will be surprised by the strong blackcurrant flavors of the Saracco. After the initial shock wears off, they will find other flavors peeking through, some more typical apricot and peach flavors and a touch of vanilla. The wine is rich and quite chunky but the finish is a little abrupt.

Saracco 2005 Prasué Chardonnay (Langhe)
Online Exclusive
This is a slightly awkward, thorny Chardonnay from Piedmont in Northern Italy that exhibits a very pale color and pungent aromas of toasted nut and peach. It is constructed as an easy, no-fuss wine but ultimately it lacks harmony.
