Few Cabs smell more inviting, with come-hither scents of wild blackberries, freshly brewed coffee, raspberry pie and toasted vanilla cream. The wine lives up to its advance, turning voluptuous in all those flavors. It’s too soft for aging, though, so drink now.

This is an ample Cabernet that impresses for its ripe lushness of fruit. It’s very dry and rich in tannins, with blackberry and herb flavors that are spicy and briary. Big and powerful. Best now–2012.

Made in Sbragia’s muscular style, a ripe, flashy wine, with briary blackberry, currant, mocha and oak flavors. The tannins are strong but soft, and the overall impression is complex. Fine now with steak, barbecue, but should gain bottle complexity over the next 5–6 years.
