Graf Schönborn has aimed for a fine delicacy of flavor in this sweet wine. Lovely acidity and elegant fruits balance the flavors of cranberries and sweet pears. This is poised, delicate and certainly ageworthy. —R.V.

Intoxicating acidity is the main character of this wine. It is certainly ripe, there is crisp fruit, but at the end it is always this acidity that pierces through the sweetness like a rapier. At the end, there is great balance. —R.V.

A wine from the old domaine of Schloss Schörnborn. It is ripe, with some toffee flavors. Layers of sweetness and baked apple tastes show through the intense, underlying acidity. It is a little out of balance at present, but the structural tannins on the wine suggest it will age well. —R.V.
