Light in weight, delicate in style, this is just barely off dry. Crisp apple fruit carries hints of riper stone fruit (nectarine?) but is underlain by a distinctly stony note. The lingering finish ably balances tart and sweet.

Toasty and nutty on the nose--the barrel influence is obvious, but it's backed by nicely balanced flavors of melon and spice and a lingering finish. Not a blockbuster or simple oak-bomb, this shows a fair amount of elegance. Drink now.
