Plump and leesy, but slightly inscrutable--the aromas and flavors are understated and difficult to read. Some pleasant peach notes eventually emerge, turning herbal on the finish.

A lean, somewhat narrowly constructed Sauvignon Blanc, the 2009 Sentinel is best suited alongside raw oysters, clams and the like, where its dry, herbal, stony character will match the shellfish's salinity.
