Serradenari 2004 Nebbiolo (Barolo)
With fruit from the highest vineyard in Barolo, Serradenari offers a surprisingly plush and modern wine with well-integrated notes of licorice, tar, vanilla, dried violets and ginger. It’s a beautiful Barolo with feminine softness and tonic luminosity. It’s firm and compact in the mouth with a tight tannic close: Drink 2015–2020.

Serradenari 2006 Nebbiolo (Barolo)
Online Exclusive
Price
$26
This elegant Barolo delivers both intensity and complexity thanks to its pure berry aromas and tones of cola, white licorice, tar, wet river stone, dried herb and cedar wood. Power and firm tannins suggest this wine would be best consumed 10 years from now.

Serradenari 2007 Renoir Red (Langhe)
Online Exclusive
Price
$15
A blend of Pinot Noir and other native grapes of Piedmont, Renoir opens with a dark, concentrated appearance and aromas of forest fruit, exotic spice and tobacco. Tight tannins and ripe fruit flavors mostly overshadow the delicate Burgundian grape.

Serradenari 2005 Nebbiolo (Barolo)
Online Exclusive
Winemaker Roberto Cipresso has shaped this wine from the highest Nebbiolo vineyards in Barolo. He also seems to have added a ton of oak to his recipe. The wine is redolent of burnt bread, campfire and charcoal. There’s fruit in there somewhere but it’s hard to find at this stage. Give it a few more years to stretch its legs.
