Shea 2002 Shea Vineyard Pommard Clone Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This has a funky nose, with barnyard scents of leather and manure. The wine seems to fall off in the mid-palate, then comes back to finish with some thick flavors of blackberry, black cherry and spicy oak. Somewhat controversial. — W.E. (11/1/2004)
