A fine Syrah that shows very good balance and complexity. The wine is bone-dry and pretty tannic, with a puckery astringency that provides a nice balance to the ripe blackberry, cocoa, pepper and grilled meat flavors.

A really nice Pinot Grigio that shows the crisp acidity and savory dryness that lift the wine into the category of super-cocktail sipper. The flavors are filled with citrus fruits, green grass, minerals and vanilla. Also fine with Vietnamese and Chinese food.

This is a great price for a fresh, clean wine with such fruity complexity. Floods the mouth with peach, apple, pineapple and spice flavors that are ripe and rich. A good value.

Starts with spicy oak and smoky vanilla flavors, and offers modest peach and tropical fruit flavors suggesting pineapple grilled on a skewer. Clean and tasty.

This Syrah deals plenty of sweet fruit flavors (blackberry preserves, ripe plums) on the palate, and much the same (plus some herb) on the nose. A simple, easy wine at a good price.

Shows much the same character as Don Sebastiani’s 2004 Pepperwood Grove Merlot, perhaps a touch more tannic, and veering more toward blackberries instead of cherries. Still it’s a lovely sipper, fresh and jammy.

Lots of bang for the buck in this Cab. You get a full-bodied, heart-warming, dry red that’s filled with tasty blackberry, spice and cedar flavors. Shows a lot more elegance than you’d expect for this low price.

Here’s a lusty, smooth red wine that shows real class, despite the low price. Dry and full-bodied, its black currant, cherry and pepper flavors will accompany a steak.
