Sojourn 2007 Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast)

  1. $48
Here’s a Pinot that’s so beautiful and beguiling, it’s perfect to drink right away. Feels delicate and silky, with lush flavors of cherries, cotton candy, bacon, sassafras, orange peel and dusty Asian spices.  — S.H.  (9/1/2009)

Sojourn 2008 Gap's Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $48
A beautiful Pinot Noir notable for the purity of its structure. Shows really polished tannins and crisp coastal acidity, as well as a fine coating of smoky oak. It all frames flavors of cherries and raspberries. Could be a little more concentrated, but it’s a pretty wine.  — S.H.  (10/1/2010)

Sojourn 2008 Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast)

  1. $48
Good and complex in cherry, raspberry, orange zest and vanilla oak flavors that finish deep and long in a dusty swirl of Indian spices. A very nice Pinot Noir, although it’s pretty sharp in zingy acidity. Give it a few hours of decanting before serving.  — S.H.  (10/1/2010)

Sojourn 2007 Gap's Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast)

  1. $48
The most full-bodied of Sojourn’s new Pinot Noirs, a rich, thick wine of Grenache-like proportions. Although it’s delicious now in cherries, red currants, licorice, cocoa and sandalwood, it’s a bit heavy and tannic. Could emerge like a butterfly from this cocoon sometime after mid-2010.  — S.H.  (9/1/2009)

  1. $39
A very nice Pinot Noir that’s likeable for its silky texture, crisp acidity and cherry, raspberry and Dr. Pepper cola flavors, with a long, spicy finish. Seems at its best now, so drink up.  — S.H.  (10/1/2010)

Sojourn 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon (Spring Mountain)

  1. $59
This is a nice, likeable Cabernet made for drinking now. It shows fancy Napa tannins and ripe, sweet flavors of blackberries, red cherries, licorice and sandalwood that are intense and concentrated in the way of mountain fruit. Lovely and easy, it will develop bottle complexity over the next 2–3 years.  — S.H.  (10/1/2010)

Sojourn 2008 Rodgers Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast)

  1. $48
High in acidity, with a nice silky texture and bone dry. It’s a very good wine, but despite some modest cherry, raspberry and licorice flavors, it lacks richness, particularly at this price.  — S.H.  (10/1/2010)
