St. Andrews Estate 2000 Adelaide Plains Shiraz (Adelaide Hills)
Price
$22
It’s “obvious” Syrah according to a couple of tasters, but what’s wrong with that? Vanilla-caramel, blackberry and cocoa-coffee aromas and flavors; finishes long, with moderate tannins and stewed fruit flavors. Top Value.

St. Andrews Estate 2000 Ceravolo Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon (Adelaide Hills)
Price
$20
Hailing from near Adelaide, the wine features lemony barrel-driven aromas and a full blast of toasty char. The flavor profile is sweet, with candied plum and cherry. On the finish you get some additional oak in the form of espresso and butter. Overall it’s woody, teetering on medicinal. —M.S.

St. Andrews Estate 2000 Ceravolo Chardonnay (Adelaide Hills)
Price
$12
No oak means that the pear and melon flavors are front and center in this slightly syrupy wine that finishes unexpectedly hard and tart, with metallic notes.
