Stadt Krems 2009 Kögl Reserve Riesling (Kremstal)
Cellar Selection
Price
$42
The Kögl is one of the great Krems vineyards, and this full-bodied Riesling has considerable power as well as intensely crisp acidity. There is just a touch of spice to go with the pineapple juice and green apples. Keep this wine for 4–5 years.

A mineral, textured wine, peppery and tightly wrought with distinct acidity over the green fruits and vivid acidity. The wine is full, but powered by acidity to keep it crisp.

Stadt Krems 2008 Wachtberg Reserve Grüner Veltliner (Kremstal)

Creamy and rich, with flavors of almonds, apples and cream. Apricots steal in, along with honey and a vivid final tang of citrus zest. The minerality gives a powerful pull to the wine, offering the driest of finishes.

Stadt Krems 2004 Grillenparz Riesling (Kremstal)
Price
$27
This big, mouthfilling Riesling is loaded with tropical fruit and citrus flavors, although it starts off with more restrained aromas of peaches, mineral oil and flowershop greens. As the fruit recedes, the mineral qualities should come to the fore, adding character to this fruity wine. Imported by Vin Divino.

Stadt Krems 2003 Grillenparz Riesling (Kremstal)
Price
$27
Melon and herb notes on the nose give way to citrus-tinged fruit on the palate. As one might expect from the heat of the vintage, it’s a plump rather than racy Riesling, but has a long, mineral-laden finish. Imported by Vin Divino.
