Stanley Lambert 2004 The Family Tree Individual Vineyard Shiraz (Barossa Valley)
-
$80
This is traditional Barossa Shiraz, aged in new American oak hogsheads, which have imparted a thick layer of vanilla and dill over the top of some lovely blackberry-tinged fruit. The texture is creamy, the tannins, supple, the finish infused with notes of coffee, spun sugar and spice. Drink now–2014, possibly longer. Imported by AUSA Pacific, LLC.

Stanley Lambert 2002 Thoroughbred Cabernet Sauvignon (Barossa Valley)
-
$28
Supple and velvety, with a ripe, creamy texture, this shows textbook Cab flavors: cassis, tobacco and some vanilla from new oak. It deftly avoids the common Barossa problem of excessive size and weight, just could use a touch more persistence on the finish. Imported by AUSA Pacific, LLC.

Stanley Lambert 2005 Sensitive Cousin Pinot Noir (South Eastern Australia)
-
$15
A soft, silky-textured Pinot Noir, this wine starts off with admirable complexity on the nose in the form of bacon, smoke, fresh greens and strawberries. Despite an overall lack of punch, it’s easy to drink and offers decent value in Pinot Noir. Imported by AUSA Pacific, LLC.
