This opens with inviting toasty fruit backed by good acidity and a slightly hard yet attractive structure. The wine should improve with another two to three years in bottle as the wood tannins soften.

There aren’t many Chards from this hilly Mendocino area. This wine shows dryness and ripeness, with a stony minerality undergirding peach custard and pineapple tart flavors, enriched with a satisfying touch of smoky oak.
