Summers 2008 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Calistoga)
-
$59
A gorgeous Cabernet, among the best Summers has ever released. Actually, their Reserve Cab tends to fly under the radar, and is a good buy for that reason, although they did raise the price considerably with this ’08 bottling. Summers 2004 Villa Andriana Vineyard Zinfandel (Napa Valley)
-
$34
Classic Napa Zin, dry, rich, balanced and almost with the finesse of a great Cab. It’s the tannins that turn the trick. They’re so ripe, sweet and fine. Of course, the flavors are totally Zin, all briary berries and peppery spice. Just delicious.
