This new vintage offers the same blend as the 2005—62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc. The flavors, though tight and reserved, are substantial and lightly earthy, and the tannins sculpted and refined. Well defined and polished, the tight, tart fruit is enhanced with hints of mushroom and earth, leading into a pleasing, toasty finish.
