Tamarí 2009 Reserve Torrontés (La Rioja)

  1. $15
Clean, light, tropical aromas draw you in, and there’s also some tangerine and melon on the nose. The palate is fresh and pure, with honeydew, kiwi and lychee flavors. There’s no excess here, and thus the dry, melony finish is just right. A correct and appealing Torrontés.  — M.S.  (5/1/2010)

Tamarí 2010 Reserva Torrontés (La Rioja)

  1. $15
Light, clean aromas of melon and vanilla are pleasant and don’t overpower. The palate is lucid and medium in weight, with green melon and ripe apple flavors. Lime and green apple carry the finish. Works well; drink immediately.  — M.S.  (5/1/2011)

Tamarí 2008 Reserve Malbec (Mendoza)

  1. $15
Competent from the start, with well-formed fruity aromas of raspberry and plum. There’s even some leather and dried cheese to the nose. In the mouth, it’s all about earthy, intense berry fruit and juicy freshness. Finishes a little tart but lively, with good form and feel.  — M.S.  (7/1/2010)

Tamarí 2007 Reserva Malbec (Mendoza)

  1. $14
Solid, basic Malbec with plenty of fruit and power. The palate is plump, mildly oaked and tastes of honest plum and blackberry. It’s ripe and round, with medium tannins and then spice, licorice and black fruit on the tail. A very good wine with no skipped beats.  — M.S.  (8/1/2009)

Tamarí 2004 Reserva Malbec (Mendoza)

  1. $12
Smooth and lifted, with bold berry aromas backed by strong lemony oak. Plum and boysenberry form a solid foundation, and off that you get texture and chocolate. Tight, tannic and with far more good qualities than bad. Imported by Paterno Wines International.  — M.S.  (8/1/2006)

Crusty, rubbery aromas smell a bit burnt, while leather and berry aromas, rest below the surface. The palate is full, edgy and a little tangy, with red plum, herb and tomato flavors. Mild and saucy tasting on the finish.  — M.S.  (5/1/2012)

Tamarí 2009 Reserva Malbec (Mendoza)

  1. $15
Dark, smoky and charred on the nose, with herbal black fruit sitting under that. Call it a saturated cheek-grabber with rubbery tannins and sweet flavors of plum and blackberry. Shows coffee and toast in front of herbal, salty finishing notes.  — M.S.  (8/1/2011)
