Teal Lake 2001 Shiraz (South Eastern Australia)
Price
$13
Although mouthfilling, this comes off cool and smooth. Aromas of meat, dried Italian herbs and black olives meet plenty of spice and fruit on the palate, and linger through the finish. Kosher. —K.F.

Teal Lake 2000 Shiraz (South Eastern Australia)
Price
$12
There’s nothing subtle about this intensely fruity wine. It’s ripe black cherries all the way, with hints of chocolate and wintergreen. The tannins are soft, the acids low, but the flavors are so pretty that the lack of structure isn’t a big issue in this everyday drinker.

Teal Lake 1999 Herzog Selection Chardonnay (South Eastern Australia)
Price
$12
Opens with ripe apple, honey and herb aromas, and opens to apple and peach flavors and an even, almost velvety texture. It’s a stylish Chardonnay for everyday drinking.

Teal Lake 2002 Petit Verdot-Cabernet Red (South Eastern Australia)
Price

A bit grapy and unformed at first, but seems to develop a bit in the glass, adding cassis, roasted meat and coffee notes. Crisp and smooth in the mouth. Imported by Royal Wine Corporation.

Teal Lake 2008 Sparkling Kosher Muscat (South Eastern Australia)
Online Exclusive
Kosher
Price
$15
Slightly grassy and pungent on the nose, but this sweet, fizzy Muscat turns more charming on the palate, where hints of pineapple and underripe citrus help to balance out the considerable sugar. Finishes fresh and soft at the same time. Drink now.
