A bit reduced, with meaty black-fruit aromas accompanied by hints of grass and hay. The palate is spicy and full of plum and cherry, while the rest of the mouth and finish are carried by short acidity. Hits hard toward the back while scoring points along the way.

Quite sweet, with red-licorice, bubble gum and berry jam aromas. The wine keeps its candied persona through the palate and onto the soft, ripe finish. It’s an easy drinker with a pleasant character and some modest punch.

More saturated than many in this class, yet while it broods and emits dark notes of charcoal and burnt toast, the fruit is modest. In the mouth, black cherry and plum make an early flavor impression then fade. A finish with hints of chocolate and coffee is of medium length.
