Given the difficulties of 2008, this is a commendable, drinkable wine. The nose is full and dark, with ripe berry aromas. Dense, robust and a little jagged, with violet, graphite and blackberry aromas that stir interest. The palate is ultraripe, a touch saucy and thick, and full of black fruit and chocolate flavors.
