With the whimsical name Paesi Tuoi (“your countries”), this youthful Barolo will definitely appeal to refined, international taste buds. The wine opens beautifully with loads of rose, violet and blue flower. In the mouth, it shows soft, silky tannins and bright acidity. Drink after 2015.  — M.L.  (12/1/2010)

Terre da Vino 2007 Essenze Nebbiolo (Barolo)

Barolo Essenze is a blend of Nebbiolo fruit sourced from multiple vineyard spots. The results are super concentration, a brooding, masculine feel and dark notes of black fruit and exotic spice. This chewy, textured wine delivers a big, powerful style that will benefit from more years of cellar aging.  — M.L.  (9/1/2011)

Terre da Vino 2006 Essenze Nebbiolo (Barolo)

Essenza is a ripe expression of Nebbiolo from the 2006 vintage with earthy nuances, wild berry and pressed red rose. This Barolo offers very good dimension and overall depth of aroma, backed by a thicker, pulpier mouthfeel. The tannins are still young so let this wine age at least five more years.  — M.L.  (12/1/2010)

Terre da Vino 2004 Monti Furchi Moscato (Asti)

  • Online Exclusive
I loved the fresh fruit and delicate floral notes that seemed to drift off the nose with amazing intensity. Peach, honeydew and honeysuckle strike a harmonious chord and accent the sparkler’s residual sugar.  — M.L.  (11/15/2006)

Terre da Vino 2008 Croere Barbera (Barbera d'Alba Superiore)

  1. $21
Here’s a bold interpretation of Barbera with a lush, modern style that sees both wood influences and loads of ripe, jammy fruit. This is a hearty meat wine or a wine to pair with cheesy lasagna: there’s bright acidity here and enough pulp and forward fruit to stand up to winter foods or stews.  — M.L.  (9/1/2010)
